Award Winning Dialogue

Gob: It's the zero hour Micheal.
It's the end of the line.
I'm the first born.
I'm sick of playing second fiddle.
Always third in line for everything.
I'm tired of finishing fourth.
Being the fifth wheel.
There are six things that I'm mad about,
And I'm taking over.

Micheal: You wanna be in charge?
You wanna deal with what I deal with?
A sister who takes your money and throws it away.
A mother who you can't trust.
A company who's founder may be on trial for treason.
Is that what you want?

Gob: What kind of vacation time does it offer?

Micheal: Yeah

Gob: I've made a huge mistake.

(Later...)

Gob: I'm in charge now.
I speak for this family.
I mean, I could, if you wanted me too.
I'd rather not, obviously.
I don't know what I'd say.
I mean, why do I have to be the one?
I don't need this.
Why does this have to become my problem?
No, I'm out!
Forget it. Find someone else.
I'm sick of it.
I'm sick of doing everything for this family!

Barry: Where's Micheal?

Gob: Typical!

we'll put on a show

Well, there's good news and bad news. The good news being we'll get a 2 hour brand new AD block on Feb10th. The bad news is it's up against the opening cerimony for the olympics. That's not really showing much faith, but at least we get to see it.

Also I heard that if ABC picks up AD they want 13 eps. If Showtime does, they want 2 seasons. I saw how ABC handled Sports Night. I'm thinking it's Showtime.

----------------------------------------

Put the "Arrested Development" deathwatch on hold--again.

Fox announced Friday that the much-loved (but low-rated) comedy will have a two-hour season--not series--finale on Feb. 10, the night that NBC will air the opening ceremonies of the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Fox cut "Arrested Development" down to 13 episodes in its third season, but the network has not officially canceled the show. If it does, other networks are reportedly interested in bringing back the Emmy-winning comedy.

In the Feb. 10 finale, Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) finds out he may have a long-lost sister, Nellie, who'll be played by Bateman's real-life sister, Justine Bateman.

Meanwhile, Michael's brother, Gob Bluth, played by Will Arnett, joins a USO tour and takes his magic act to Iraq, only to end up in prison there.

shower her in club sauce

Just read this on a the MySpace site.

on Fox.com/arresteddev the header that used to read "an all new episode followed by a classic episode" has been changed to read "all new episodes coming soon!"

A Good Theory

I had a thought. Most of us are wondering when is FOX going to air the last 4 episodes of Arrested Development. I read somewhere earlier this year that Mitch Hurwitz, the producer, has a plan for the finale of the show if the show is indeed canceled. I believe FOX hasnt aired the last 4 episodes of Arrested because there not filmed yet. If our dreams come true and FOX renews it or Showtime or ABC buys it than they don't need to film a finale. Maybe instead a goodbye to FOX where they might make fun of the network. Oh well it's just my thought I had and I think it makes sense.

Does anyone else know why AD or Fox hasn't put up the saveourbluths.org they mentioned in episode nine? Perhaps we should buy it...

Tell Your Friends About this Show!

In this life, it's rare that things bring you so much joy.
Especially things like TV shows.

Well, Arrested Development brings me joy. Without it, I can guarantee you I will be sad. I will only have the past episodes to rely on. I will not have the future. I will no longer be able to anxiously await the surprise that comes with each and every new episode.

What will happen?
How gay is Tobias going to get? Is he going to continue on trying to be an actor? Will he get a part? Will he ever make it? Will he ever have sex with his wife again? will he die?

Are George Michael and Maeby gonna hook up again?

Hmm.. Will Buster grow up a little more? So many things-- army, Lucille, Lucille 2, loose seal, and even TEACHING LESSONS!? What next for Buster?? Hot for sister? Huh?

Lindsay! Cooking! How many other firsts am I going to miss now? No more hot ham water? Temocil. Saving the wetlands. Trying to get a date. Laying on the couch. Not working. CHO CHEE-CHO CHEE

What will become of the Bluth company?

Will George Sr. be freed? Is he innocent? ha..

Will Lucille stop calling Lindsay fat? will she lay off the vodka? Will she ease up on Buster? Will she... save her moisture?

Is Kitty really gone straight? (well, I guess she has to be, I saw she has a new TV show coming out)

Will Michael ever get the credit he deserves? Our beloved Michael. "the only likeable one" as the publicist said in season 1. Will he find a good woman? Is he ever really going to leave for good?

What will become of Lupe, Franklin, Barry, Bob Loblaw..... Ann...?

Her?

And my beloved GOB, the greatest character to ever grace our TV screens.

Will he ever be back in the alliance? Will he ever be taken REALLY SERIOUSLY, So that he can practice his magic, his illusions.

Will he get another girlfriend? Another wife? fall in love? accidentaly work another day in his life?

"I don't think so"

I want to know these things. I want to know what's going to happen to my favorite am-i-sure-they-are-dysfunctional family.

What other TV shows will they make fun of?? I gotta know.

When I go back and watch Season 1, I look at George Michael and Maeby. It seems they've grown so much in these 2 years.

THEY'RE GROWING KIDS. It'd be downright wrong to not let me see the kids grow!

Does that work?

Oh my gosh, Maeby has boobs!

Save Arrested Development. It really is the best show on TV.

Don't make me get J.Walter Weatherman to teach you a lesson!

put on 3D glasses now...

If you go to the "Ask Fox" portion of Fox's website, you'll find this :

2. What are some other Mid-Season backup shows not yet scheduled for the 2005/06 Season?
ANSWER:
BACKUP SHOWS (to air sometime in later this season - sometime in 2006):

o THE LOOP [NEW COMEDY]
o FREE RIDE [NEW COMEDY]
o NANNY 911 [2ND SEASON]
o HELL'S KITCHEN [2ND SEASON]
o SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE [2ND SEASON]
o ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT [Remainder of 3RD SEASON]

So they won't cancel it, and they won't air it. Looks like they just want to keep us in line or something.

for those who missed it...

I've been looking for a place to get the last episode of Arrested Development, I had to work at 6 that day, and despite wanting to call out very, very badly - I didn't. But, so far no luck... but I did come across episode 8, I had also missed that one because I was in Michigan for the holidays.

For anyone else trying to play catch up - here's a link to the torrent. Enjoy.

Welcome Everyone

I just wanted to say welcome to all the new S-A-D members. This blog was started by Mike and myself (mostly Mike) as a way to try and spread the word that Arrested Development is a great show and try and help gain viewership. Last year for Christmas I gave my family season 1 and they didnt really get it. They didnt like it very much. I just took a vacation home and made them watch all of disc one and 1 episode of disc two and I am proud to say they seem to love it now. They laughed alot which is great.
Along with my family I've been able to convince my freinds Chris, Ryan, and alot of people at work to give the show a shot. Luckily they've all loved it and keep watching it.
It may seem cheesy to dedicate so much time to a TV show (and for what it's worth I do have a life) but with there being so much garbage on TV like "The War at Home" ,"Freddie", and everything, I feel this is worth my time and energy to put up a good fight. In my opnion TV really sucks and I've just been so happy since Arrested Developments been on I felt at times I've been watching really good Independent films and in a way they are.
Please keep spreading the word about Arrested Development and keep posting any new updates you may have learned. Even if you think we all know about it post it anyways. I for one am looking for the final Episode's(hopefully just for this season) airdate. Please let me know ASAP so I can throw a good bye party with my peeps. Again welcome everyone and thank you for joining.

Guys, I think we might have a problem here...
According to tv.com, there's supposed to be two new episodes next Monday: "Fakin it" and "Family Ties", but Fox has two episodes of House schedueled for next week.
Was this the last episode???

oh, and was I the only one who didn't know there was going to be a 3D portion? Now I have to find 3D glasses!
